What a difference nearly 50 years makes!

Working at the Sheriff's Office in Clinton County I get to see new and different things from time to time. The squad cars the deputies drive on a daily basis are one of those things. I wasn't around in the 60's but deputies still had to patrol the county in something. Here is what that would have looked like back then:

Now it's 2009 and the deputies still need to patrol the county. They also need a vehicle that will be able to get them anywhere in the county quickly and safely when an emergency arises. Here is what some of them are driving around in today:

Like I said; there is a pretty significant difference isn't there? Times have changed but one thing remains the same - we need law enforcement, and they need transportation. It will be exciting to see what the future brings!
